Origin

Parsley originally comes from the Mediterranean Sea area. The ancient Greeks believed that parsley came from the blood of the hero Archemous, who was devoured by snakes. The Romans used parsley garlands to honour their victors.

Healthy?

Absolutely: parsley is bursting with vitamin C and contains iron, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A and B12. It cleans the blood, improves the digestion, and fights headaches, kidney stones and bladder stones, liver disorders and menstrual pain. A compress with parsley eases cuts and sprains.
